Trust hosts eye clinic in association with ITV's This Morning

Last Wednesday the Eyecare Trust hosted an Eye Clinic on London's South Bank in assoication with ITV's This Morning.

The healthy eyes, healthy you vision screening was conducted as part of the National Eye Week campaign sponsored by HealthSure, one of the UK's leading and most innoative healthcare cash plan providers.

Viewers of This Morning and visitors to the South Bank were invited to drop into the clinic to have their vision screened using the latest state of the art ophthalmic equipment.

On the programme itself This Morning's Dr Chris Steele explained to Fern and Philip why it's important to have regular eye examinations.

The eye examination is an essential healthcheck - not only can it detact problems with your vision it can also uncover a number of unerlying health conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and an increased risk of stroke.
